About

Hi there,

I’m Eoghan Sheehy creator of Tús Maith Journals. In creating Tús Maith Journals I wanted to help people consistently perform to the best of their ability, I aspire to help people thrive.

This is because my own start was anything but consistent, and I never performed to my ability.

Growing up I always had a desire to take on the world, start my own businesses and help myself and others change the world.

My actions however did not reflect my ambitions , I stumbled my way through school and university. I found myself making the same mistakes over and over again, rarely learning from them. I barely scraped through every hurdle and challenge.

My lack of progress in life frustrated me so much I would have sleepless nights. I knew something had to change.

So I started reading books and listening to podcasts, which inspired me to get into shape join CrossFit. The more I listened to and read about top performers and entrepreneurs it became clear that they are not fundamentally different to us, normal people. Often they have some behaviour or habit that they leverage to their advantage which propels them forward.

So hungry for improvement I went looking for the specific tactics and techniques I could use. I stole the best practices from people like Reid Hoffman, Tim Ferris and Josh Waitzkin, and from industries as varied as sports, business and science.

What I discovered was that athletes had some of the most effective tracking and recovery practices, and I found something else surprising too. I learned from my research that truly sustainable performance improvement only comes when the physical and mental aspects of our lives are aligned and work together.

The best mind & body performance improvements all had the same things in common – they worked best if they were simple and consistent. With that in mind, I created a simple journaling system. This quick daily system focuses on the vital mental component, to leverage your performance and compound your results.

Using my simple system my life transformed, both me and my journal have been improving and adapting over the years.
